Hi!
Today is my 10th anniversary of signing up for eBay. Funny how time flies. It is also the anniversary of the terrible NY Twin Towers disaster. My heart goes out to those who lost their lives and their families.

Dear eBayers,
The best news this week (besides the fact that we had the greatest Live Boot Camp EVER), is the fact that eBay has rolled back its policy on multiple listings. If you have a listing with the exact same title–eBay will still show them all at auction. Such great news! Read the special announcement section to learn more about this from Ina Steiner at AuctionBytes. Thanks Ina!
Today I am in Las Vegas teaching for Rocket Place. Wish me luck. I was able to teach because I had to be here on Friday for Houston’s Fall National Championship baseball tournament. It all worked out great.
I have to admit that it was a little difficult (as are many things in life) because my Live Boot Camp ended Sunday night and Wednesday at 1:00 pm we were in the car driving to Vegas. I am happy to report that we arrived in Las Vegas safely and once this weekend is over, I have no major commitments for the rest of the year! I am actually going to start writing the “4th 100 Best book”. Yippeee!
Speaking of our recent Live Boot Camp, the footage is going to be awesome & I want you to own it. Please read the Lynn Recommends section for more information on this (if you already own Boot Camp in a Box or Boot Camp in a Box Lite–there is an incredible offer) and if you don’t–you will want to know how to get 4 boot camps in 1 box (for the last time ever!). Especially before the older Boot Camps are retired!
I wanted to update you on the 2nd John Lennon pin that sold last week. Remember last week the first one sold for $62.00!
Click here to see what the second one sold for.
The point of my showing this second button selling for so much less is two-fold. One, a unique item can sell for one amount one week and a totally different amount the second week. And Two–that is the reason that you must list at least 100 items per week.
That is exactly what I taught at Live Boot Camp this past weekend. I have to share this email with you–it is from my own mother–who is FINALLY taking my advice and following The Dralle Method of listing quickly and efficiently.
Hi Lynn and Kiddos,
I have put 131 things on eBay this week, and finally got my first bid. Yeah!!!!
Check out my mom’s auctions at thexstyles.
I am very proud of her!!!
Here is one of her auctions this week that I think is incredible. It is a vintage paisley shawl.
And this brings me to this week’s feature article. It is all about eBay being a numbers game (what we learned at my eBay Live Boot Camp) and how Arthur Court should make you want to join The Queen’s Court!
Finally, we are bringing back the section where you write in with your major scores! Please read The Queen’s Update section to learn more about submitting your stories.
Happy eBaying!
Lynn Dralle, ‘The Queen of Auctions,’ Creator of the best-selling eBay Boot Camp in a Box and Boot Camp in a Box Lite.
I just got this email from Gladys (one of my most recent Boot camp graduates)…
Hello Lynn,
What a great Boot Camp!! You were so helpful and caring in everyway. You really cared if we ‘got it’. It was wonderful to have fun and learn too. I would not have missed it for anything. Your crew is just the best!!!!
Such nice classmates too! The food was fantastic! Needless to say, I loved it! I have my calculator out trying to figure out how I can make the next one.
Many thanks, Gladys!
Gladys and her husband were darling! I loved the way Frank (her husband) went through all the high cupboards for us at one of the “strangest” garage sales we had all ever attended! And then he wanted Houston to have dinner with them at Red Robin with promises of milkshakes. What a great couple!!
We all had a blast and not only learned an incredible amount from everyone there, but as Gladys so eloquently put it, “had fun” at the same time!
That is what Live Boot Camp is all about. If you couldn’t join us, you can still experience it. If you own Boot Camp in a Box or Boot Camp in a Box Lite, you can get the new footage at a special intro price. The offer ends soon so if you didn’t get your personalized email with all the details please let us know ASAP (email Lee@TheQueenofAuctions.com).
If you don’t own any of those great tools yet, you have the opportunity to own 4 Boot Camps in 1 Box for an incredibly low price (this includes all the NEW footage). We are retiring two of the previous years’ Boot Camps soon so you will not want to miss out! If you didn’t get that email, you can read more here.
Thanks to Ina Steiner for sharing this article with us and to Jennifer Foster (A recent Live Boot Camp Graduate) Jarsie for finding it for me!
‘eBay Dupes Policy Rolled Back for Auctions, Featured Listings’
by Ina Steiner, AuctionBytes
eBay is modifying its Multiple Listings Limit policy according to a company moderator on the discussion boards.
As described in the original policy on July 30, eBay began displaying only one identical item from the same seller in search results. On Wednesday, an eBay employee from “the Finding team” said beginning this week, the display of identical, fixed price, non featured items will be limited to one, but featured items and auctions will all display regardless of whether they have identical titles or not. Auction format and featured listings cost more for sellers to list.
The eBay employee wrote, “We’re encouraged by the results we’ve seen in Fixed Price but haven’t seen the same improvements in buyer metrics for Auctions. As such, we plan to make some changes to the implementation based on these insights.”
It’s unclear why eBay chose to release the news in a forum post rather than in an Announcement Board post.
‘Arthur Court and The Queen’s Court’
by Lynn A. Dralle, ‘The Queen of Auctions’
At this past weekend’s Live eBay Boot Camp I showed my students how to powerlist. That is exactly what my mom did when she listed 131 items this week. I am so proud of her! Go Mor Mor! (That’s what her grandkids call her.) It means “Mother’s Mother” in Swedish. Yes, with all that red hair going on, we are Swedish. Did you know that they predict that natural redheads will be extinct by 2051? But, I digress.
Mor Mor and her kids.
Yes, my mom, brother Lee, sister Kristin (Kiki) and myself are all natural redheads! Pretty rare!
But back to business. As I tell my Live Boot Camp students, it is all about assembly line listing. Henry Ford did not invent the automobile, but he did invent the assembly line. And for that, I am extremely grateful. I have taken his basic principle and applied it to The Dralle Method that I teach at my Boot Camps.
We were able to assembly line list at the Live Boot Camp this past weekend. One of the things I taught my amazing group of students was to buy and list collections during the same week.
An example of this was the Arthur Court items I listed from the La Quinta Boot Camp 2008. I had bought two Arthur Court items at a recent charity sale in Bellingham, WA for $1 each. I think that more than one constitutes a collection! Please check out this listing…
Here is a history of Arthur Court and why you should always buy these pieces when you find them (as long as they are at a reasonable price!)
I have always had good luck with Arthur Court items.
Arthur and Elena Court are the founders of the company. Arthur was raised….(please insert text from story 15 mmm kaching starting from the 5th paragraph 1st sentence) end with the last sentence that says “They often use nature as the inspiration for their precuts and the Arthur Court aluminum bunnies are very collectible”.
Super cool that I had two Arthur Court Bunny Rabbit pieces to show my Live Boot Camp class and get them listed in front of them. Let’s see what my $2 investment sells for!!! I am sure that it is much more than that! In addition to being an Arthur Court fan, why don’t you become a Queen’s Court fan? It is an amazing way to connect and learn how to be a better and more profitable eBayer. It is also a friendly community where we help each other out. We hope to see you there.
Happy eBaying!
Lynn
